FITNESS TO YOU SUMMED UP…

For me fitness is about striving for progress, about having goals and working toward them in a healthy, and honest manner.  Fitness in not just a physical state but also an emotional achievement encompassing all things healthy in; Mind, body and spirit. I feel my fittest when I’m happy, healthy and have an abundance of energy to achieve my workout regimes, long days on set and anything that requires a bit of physical endurance.

WHAT'S YOUR GUILTY PLEASURE..

Chocolate… Hence why I created an entire e-book around it. ;) (GET IT HERE)

WHAT DOES YOUR FITNESS ROUTINE LOOK LIKE…

I have no particular routine as my schedule changes from week to week. On an average week I would have two personal training sessions, 2 Hot Pilates sessions and 2 solo gym sessions of HIIT or targeted resistant training. I love being active and outdoors and at the moment I’m loving surfing which is great for a total body workout.

Yes it’s freezing.. Thank god for wet suits!

WHAT MOTIVATES YOU TO GET FIT/HIT THE GYM WHEN YOU'RE HAVING 'ONE OF THOSE DAYS'…

It’s all a mind game, the longer you think about it the more likely you wont go.  I always try to remember how good you feel after a workout and focus on that. Nothing like releasing those endorphins to counteract your “off moods.”

FAVOURITE FOOD/ RECIPE?

My Chocolate Protein Balls, the perfect little pick me up, pre or post workout snack or when you just need to nib those craving in the butt. (GET THE RECIPE HERE)

WHAT DOES YOUR WORK-OUT WARDROBE LOOK LIKE?...

I have 7 pairs of Nike runners and a whole draw full off Nike, lorna Jane and Tully Lou.

YOUR SECRET TO MAINTAINING A HEALTHY LIFESTYLE?...

Balance is key.  The first thing is to realise that healthy living is a lifestyle and not a diet, once you get over that restriction you are far less likely to fall back to old habits. Keeping it interesting in the kitchen is essential for maintaining a healthy lifestyle. No one can live of boiled chicken and steamed broccoli for the rest of their life, nor should you have to. Get creative, experiment with natural flavours and find meals that interest you. When you enjoy the food you eat your 10 times more likely to continue on your path to wellness.

POST WORK-OUT YOU'LL FIND ME...

Devouring some sort of deliciousness.

MY SIGNATURE MEAL IS...

I’d have to say my healthy treats and desserts.. They get around a bit..

ANY ADVICE/ MOTIVATION FOR PEOPLE TRYING TO KICK-START A HEALTHIER LIFESTYLE…

Take it slow, nothing happens over night but with the right mindset and dedication anything is possible.
